    The 3.5L V6 provides good power and performance but also has good economy as I drove from Timaru to Christchurch Return plus some trips around Christchurch on just over 1/2 a tank of fuel. It is quite to drive in and holds the road reasonably well. Good Storage space and plenty of features. Has plenty of pickup to pass others safely when required.

    We needed a bigger vehicle for our expanding family and this is definitely it! We have so much space and have noticed that the fuel price etc is the same as our previous vehicle and it made it so much easier to workout our financials when taking on a new and bigger vehicle.

    Can’t go past Toyota reliability and in a good price range. Has a lot of features for its year and price. Great power tows a trailer load of wood no problem.

    Since taking delivery of the Vanguard last Wednesday, we have done about 800km, and so speak with some experience of the vehicle. The car is driven by a quiet, peppy 2.4 litre motor, which handled the hills with ease, and together with the cruise control, the long straights we encountered on the journey comfortably. Petrol economy was good, …… 3/4 tank to Nelson, with a trip to Motueka thrown in......running time just under 6 hours. The cabin was quiet, roomy and had a large boot for storage of luggage at several levels. Controls for the car were handily placed for both the driver and front seat passenger……my wife was impressed with the radio/CD/Backing camera that was fitted, as it came with a remote control….and she enjoyed the role of entertainment officer, and climate control operator which allowed myself to drive with focus. To top off the weekend with friends and family…..the All Blacks won…..and the car ran superbly.
